Lift the flap to see 5 little apples become 4, then 3, as the animals eat them up one by one, until there’s none left. But watch for a wonderful surprise at the end! Here is a perfect interactive board book for the youngest counters.

On each page of this board book, young readers will learn to count backwards and begin to subtract! This sturdy little book is the perfect size for toddler hands and features basic math concepts, friendly, smiling animals, and bold, bright kid-friendly design. Charming illustrations, sturdy flaps. My two yo loves this book! Sturdy pages and flaps stand-up to toddler’s abuse. Charming illustrations engage toddler’s imagination while reinforcing number and animal identification. Highly recommended!

Great little book. Great book for young children who are learning to count and attend to a story. Pages are very sturdy and held my kids interests well. Would recommend!!

This quickly became a favourite with our toddlers... This book is so cleverly done, I went out and bought all of the author's other books. This one remains our favourite as the text & illustrations are simple yet engaging with a lovely surprise at the end.

Yusuke Yonezu was born in Tokyo, Japan, where he still lives with his wife and children. As a child he loved to draw and make toys out of paper and boxes. He went on to study design and became the creator of many board books, puzzles, and toys beloved by children and their caregivers around the world.

Yonezu's board books are full of bold colors and help young readers master basic concepts, including counting skills, animals, foods, shapes, and more. The designs help readers of all ages see the world in a new way and discover new surprises with each turn of the page.
