This book bridges the gap between the theoretical concepts and their implementations, especially for the high-performance structures/components related to advanced composite materials. It focusses on the prediction of various structural responses under complex environments and discuses micro-mechanical material modeling of advanced materials.

Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohamed Thariq Bin Haji Hameed Sultan completed his PhD in 2011 from Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Sheffield, United Kingdom in the Field of Mechanical Engineering. He specializes in the field of Hybrid Composites, Advance Materials, Structural Health Monitoring and Impact Studies. He is also a Professional Engineer (PEng) registered under the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and he is also a Charted Engineer (CEng) registered with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) United Kingdom. Recently, he was also awarded as the Professional Technologist (PTech) from Malaysian Board of Technologist (MBOT). He has published more than 220 journal articles and published almost 15 books internationally.

Dr. Vishesh Ranjan Kar completed his Ph.D. from NIT Rourkela in 2015 as a full-time research scholar (2012-2015) in the field of Computational Solid Mechanics. Currently, he is Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Jamshedpur, India. His research interests are Nonlinear Finite Element Method (NFEM), Advanced Composite Structures, Computational Mechanics and Shape Optimization. He authored (and co-authored) over 50 research articles in peer reviewed journals, books and conferences in the field of modeling and analysis of composite structures. Currently, he is handling various research projects as Principle Investigator (and Co-PI) funded by various government agencies. Presently, he is supervising 04 PhD students in the area of advanced composite structures. He is the recipienlS)
