Native Clevelander and founder of My Cleveland History Tom Kaschalk honors the legendary watering holes that shaped Clevelands communities, hosted vibrant music scenes and served as the backdrop to both good times and life-changing events.

Tom Kaschalk was born and raised on Clevelands Southeast Side, in the Union-Miles neighborhood and, later, in Slavic Village. After graduating from Cleveland State University, he spent several years in local law enforcement before transitioning to a corporate career that took him across the country. Despite his travels, Toms love for Cleveland always remained strong. On returning to Cleveland, Tom rekindled his passion for the citys rich history. As the owner of My Cleveland History, he specializes in genealogy and helping others discover and connect with their Cleveland roots.
