Confirmation is a show about the gulf between beliefs that we cant talk across.About our knee-jerk dismissal of the opposing viewpoint. About the echo chamberof agreement and validation we live in. About the way we choose only to see theevidence that proves were right.

A new solo show from a multi Fringe First winning team: written and performed by Chris Thorpe (Unlimited Theatre, Third Angel), developed with and directed by Rachel Chavkin (The TEAM).

Chris Thorpewas a founding member of Unlimited Theatre and still works and tours with the company. He is also an Artistic Associate of live art/theatre company Third Angel as well as working closely with, among others, Forest Fringe, Slung Low, Chris Goode, RashDash, Belarus Free Theatre and Portuguese company mala voadora for whom he has just completed a trilogy of new plays. He has an ongoing collaboration with poet Hannah Jane Walker, having written two shows,The Oh Fuck MomentandI Wish I Was Lonely. As a playwright Chris has written radio and stage drama, as well as translating the work of Ugljesa Sajtinac (the playHuddersfieldis also published by Oberon), Belarus Free Theatre, and Ze Maria Mendes.
