Restoring Prophetic Ministry to Its Rightful Place in God's Church

"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith."(Romans 12:6)

Joni Ames provides a Bible-based, clear, concise, and practical explanation of the operation and use of personal prophetic ministry in the church today. Her goal is twofold: first, to act as a teacher and mentor to help people with prophetic gifts understand and mature into those gifts; and second, to help pastors and church leaders understand, acknowledge, discern, and train the prophetic community within their body of believers. Joni also debunks some myths and falsehoods about prophetic ministry, while bringing a greater level of maturity and confidence to those seeking to develop their revelatory gifts.

“From time to time in the prophetic movement, it becomes important to have a new work available for those seeking to better hear God’s voice. Joni Ames’s new book,The Definitive Guide to the Prophetic, IS that book. Every few years, new language comes into use, and greater understandings are discovered, in order to help young or fresh prophetic voices answer the question, ‘How do I get from where I am to being used by God in prophesying to others?’ Again, this is that book. Not only is it a great stand-alone book, but I also see it being used in classrooms and home groups for discussions on how to manage and understand God’s emerging prophetic voices in the body of Christ!”
