In addition to teaching, Professor Okpala serves on the College of Business financial strategies, student advising, and the University library and learning resources committees. The universitys chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants awarded Professor Okpala with the chapter award for dedication and support toward the chapters growth. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
