God's Work Done God's Way: You Don't Have To Make Headlines To Make A Difference [Paperback]

The author sees Jesus being perceived as a spare tire or vending machine. He shows two sides to Jesus: one, the redemptive blessings He offers to those who believe; and, two, the obligations of believers toward Jesus. The first one is the easy one; Jesus freely gives, and we willingly accept His blessings. The other side of the coin is the one often neglected; the opportunity to serve and witness is often overlooked. To live a life with purpose and significance, a life that is large for God, this books presents a lifestyle that cares for the disadvantaged and meets the challenge to make disciples. God did not save us to be comfortable; He saved us to comfort others and in the process to be comforted ourselves. Quality thoughts and values come from a better quality of believing and behaving. It is not what we gather, but what we scatter that tells the quality of life we live - and the way we live determines our legacy.
