Previously, she held the position of associate professor and coordinator of the Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Kent State. Dr. Simonis is also a member of the Ohio Department of Education Science Program Review Committee, the coordinator of the Ohio Operation Physics team, and a charter member of the International Consortium for Gender in Science and Technology (GASAT). Dr. Simonis has written prolifically, including chapters in books and numerous scholarly articles.
