Filo’s Butterflies is a charming picture book about how a young Samoan boy calms his nerves before his first siva performance at a family wedding.

Filo is going to dance at his aunties’ Samoan wedding! He’s been rehearsing the steps for his firstsiva fa’ataupatifor weeks, but now there are butterflies dancing in his belly.

As the day goes on, the butterflies grow bigger and bolder. Will they stop him from performing thesivaand having a good time?

 Born in Wellington, New Zealand,Litea Fuatamoved to Brisbane, Australia, when she was six years old, with her parents and siblings. Litea comes from a very big Samoan aiga (family) with lots of nieces and nephews and plenty of siblings and cousins. Growing up in a big aiga meant she had lots of adventures and was never short of someone to play with but, on the flip side, she also had to ensure she was being heard above all the commotion!
 
Myo Yimis a Korean author and illustrator living in Byron Bay, Australia. Her first book,To the Forest Night, was published by Yellow Imagination Books in South Korea in 2019. Myo also has a book calledRajah Street with Walker Australia.
