Sankita Patel received her Ph.D. from the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat in 2015. Since 2009, she has been associated with the Department of Computer Engineering at SVNIT, Surat as an Assistant Professor. Her research interests focus on Applied Research in Information Security and Privacy in various domains like the Internet of Things, Cyber-Physical Systems, Online Social Networks, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Big Data, etc. She has worked as a joint investigator in research projects funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Government of India, and the Gujarat Council of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat.
