A West Virginia native, Nitz dreamed of broadcasting in the big leagues. Little did he know that his Hall of Fame broadcasting career would take him to Ruston, Louisiana. Along the way, Nitz worked with country music icon Tom T. Hall in West Virginia and covered William & Mary University football under Lou Holtz. At Tech, Nitz gave voice to the basketball greatness of Karl The Mailman Malone and the national champion Lady Techsters. Christopher Alan Kennedy is a historian who loves learning about his home state, Louisiana. His first book,Louisiana Techs Joe Aillet, published by The History Press in 2022, is a biography of the namesake of Louisiana Tech Universitys football stadium. A 2023 Louisiana State University graduate with a master of library and information science degree and a two-time Tech alumnus, he was part of a team that catalogued museum items at the USSKiddVeterans Museum and removed items from the destroyer to prepare for the ships departure for renovations at a Gulf Coast drydock. When hes not working, hes most likely running, hiking, hanging out with friends and family or getting ready for fantasy football or March Madness.
