I would adopt it as a compulsory textbook for first year students who have to learn the basic concepts of development. Currently I teach adavnced level and therefore I will recommend it for students whose minor subject is development studies, whereas those who major are already familiar with the concepts since their first year of studies.An excellent text for my communications for development module.
