This book mainly provides a comprehensive treatment of the SiBCN ceramics and their matrix CMCs, aspect of theme content including material design and preparation, microstructural feature and evolutionary process, mechanical and thermophysical properties, resistance to oxidation, thermal shock and ablation, and the mechanisms of oxidation, ablation and crystallization of SiBCN-based materials. Furthermore, this book offers the necessary fundamentals to ensure a basic understanding of the structure and properties of metastable Si-based ceramics and their composites for undergraduate and postgraduate students in materials-related disciplines in higher education, as well as for scientific research, production development and technical management in the fields of metastable materials, mechanical alloying processing nonequilibrium structure, organic-inorganic composites, etc.
Chapter 1 Introduction.- Chapter 2 Principle and kinetic mechanisms of mechanical alloying derived non-equilibrium materials.- Chapter 3 Crystallization behavior and thermal stability of MA-SiBCN powders.- Chapter 4 Densification kinetics and crystallization mechanisms of MA-SiBCN bulk materials.- Chapter 5 Mechanical behavior and strengthening/toughening mechanisms of MA-SiBCN materials.- Chapter 6 Thermal shock behavior and ablation corrosion mechanisms of MA-SiBCN materials.
Currently, Dr. Daxin Li works at Harbin Institute of Technology as an associate professor/Ph.D supervisor. He is mainly engaged in scientific research and teaching work on advanced ceramics, ceramic matrix composites, and their applications in extremely harsh service environments. He was funded by the 2019 Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program and was selected as the Outstanding Youth Fund of Heilongjiang province. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed SCI papers, got 10 granted patents, and has one book (in Chinese) in progress.
