This book provides a detailed overview of advances and challenges in the development of 2D materials for use in energy storage devices. It offers insight into the synthesis, characterization, and application of 2D materials and their heterostructures in various energy storage devices, focusing on new phenomena and enhanced electrochemistry.

Srikanth Ponnada MRSC is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Prof. Herrings Group at the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department, Colorado School of Mines, U.S.A. Previously he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. He received his Dual Degree Masters in Applied Chemistry from Andhra University, India and his PhD is in the area of Functional Materials and their Electrochemical Applications in Batteries and Sensors. As a part of his PhD, he worked at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. His current research includes functional materials synthesis, polymer electrolyte membranes, fuel cell assembly and engineering, energy storage, conversion devices, electrochemical sensors, electrocatalysis, and electrochemical engineering for net zero emissions and carbon neutrality. He previously worked at the CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute-India as a Project Assistant Level-III in lead-free perovskites-based photovoltaics and electrocatalysis and at the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad as project research fellow in gold nanoparticle-assisted heterogeneous catalysis in alcohol and hydrocarbon oxidation reactions.
