Hiroyuki Okamura received the B.S.E., M.S., and D.Eng. degrees in engineering from Hiroshima University, Higashihiroshima, Japan, in 1995, 1997, and 2001, respectively. In 1998, he joined Hiroshima University as an Assistant Professor, where he has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Information Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, since 2003. He is now a Processor with the Department of Information Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, since 2018. His research interests include performance evaluation, dependable computing, and applied statistics. He is a regular member of IEEE, ACM, Institute of Electrical, Information and Communication Engineers, the Information Processing Society of Japan, the Reliability Engineering Association of Japan, and a fellow member of the Operations Research Society of Japan.

Shinji Inoue was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, in 1978. He received the B.S.E., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Tottori University, Japan, in 2001, 2003, and 2006, respectively. He has been working as Full Professor of the Faculty of Informatics, Kansai University, Osaka, Japan, since April 2021 after he had worked as Assistant Professor of the Graduated School of Engineering, Tottoril!
