Life Of William Cowper, The [Paperback]

Thomas Wright, a long-time Cowper scholar, wrote an extremely comprehensive biography of the pre-Romantic 18th century English poet. He was able to avail himself of collections of Cowper's letters and of the unpublished journals of a number of Cowper's friends. At the time of original publication in 1892, Thomas Wright was Principal of Cowper School, Olney, and was also the author of The Town of Cowper.
