Manga Classics Count Of Monte Cristo [TRADE PAPER ]

The victim of a miscarriage of justice, the Count of Monte Cristo is fired by a desire for retribution and empowered by a stroke of providence. In his campaign of vengeance, he becomes an anonymous agent of fate. The sensational narrative of intrigue, betrayal, escape, and triumphant revenge moves at a cracking pace. Alexandre Dumas' novel presents a powerful conflict between good and evil embodied in an epic saga of rich diversity that is complicated by the hero's ultimate discomfort with the hubristic implication of his own actions. This manga perfectly captures the essence of the original novel and presents it in a beautiful and vivid format. The characters come to life and the story unfolds with all the drama and suspense as intended in the original classic. Highly recommended. A slimmed-down version of a weighty classic that captures the adventure, suspense, and spirit of this memorable story. The manga format makes this narrative more accessible for younger readers, condensing and simplifying the complicated plot. The dramatic and expressive illustrations enhance the text. It brilliantly captures the high emotions, the intrigue, and solid characters of Alexandre Dumas’ original. I absolutely loved this – the artwork is great, the adaptation is well-written, and the pacing keeps you on the edge of your seat.
