Inda Ahmad Zahri seems to always have a toe in one world and a pinkie in another. She is a surgical doctor who spends much of her time writing and illustrating for children. She grew up in Kuala Lumpur, studied in Bristol and made a home in Meanjin / Brisbane only to move to Riyadh (for now). And though she loves peace and quiet, she encourages us to use our loud and brave voices to change the world in her picture bookOur Voices, Together.
Inda’s books have been longlisted and shortlisted for multiple awards, including the CBCA, Speech Pathology and DANZ awards. You’ll often find Inda in her studio with her rescue kitten Mochi, singing to herself and working on way too many projects at once.
