Mohamed Aly Hassaan is an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF) in Alexandria, Egypt. Dr. Hassaan holds a Masters degree (2011) and a Ph.D. (2017) in Chemical Oceanography and Marine Pollution. He also lectured on marine science and environmental topics at Port Said University. In 2018, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Bari University, Italy. Dr. Hassaan has participated in multiple oceanographic expeditions, including those hosted by NIOF and Italy's National Research Council (CNR). Dr. Hassaan has completed specialized training courses at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands (2015 and 2016) and was a visiting fellow at CNR in 2014 and 2017. His prolific academic output includes co-authoring several publications, accumulating over 1,600 citations on Scopus.
