J. S. Lather obtained his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from SV National Institute of Technology, Surat, in 1990. He obtained his M.Tech. degree in Control Systems in 1993 from REC Kurukshetra, and PhD degree in the area of robust control in 2004 from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He joined REC Kurukshetra faculty in 1994. He has 30 years of experience in teaching and research at NIT Kurukshetra. Currently, he serves as a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. His research areas include robust control, time delay systems, microgrid operations and control, multi-agent systems consensus and control, and machine learning applications to engineering systems.
