And I will put this third into the fire, refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, They are my people ; and they will say, The Lord is our God. (Zechariah 13:9 NRSV) Refining For His Glory will take you on a journey that requires an in depth, soul-searching and honest reflection as to where you are in your relationship with Christ. Saying, I am Christian/ Child of God is not practicing a ritual that allows membership in an organization but one that calls for constant engagement with the God who gave himself freely for the sake of humanity regardless of our attitude toward him. For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. (John 3:16 NRSV). God is love, and He extends His unconditional love to us because He created us to love Him. This is a love that: (a) calls us into a personal relationship, (b) brings us into intimacy and divine love, and: (c) brings us to a resurrection moment when we can declare My Lord and My God! I do believe that God wants to make us His own people, created in His image and likeness for his glory. It begins with a journey, series of highs and lows, beginnings and endings, joys and sorrows. On that journey he weaves a tapestry of our lives. On that journey there will be the symbol of the cross, our constant reminder of the presence of Christ. It will require wrestling not only with darkness but with light as God leads us to the truth within His word. My prayer is that everyone who reads this book will be eternally transformed through the word of God. That you will see your afflictions/sufferings through God's eyes not as punishment but as his tool to draw you closer to him. That as you yield yourself to his will and plan for your life you will come out like pure gold and be made fit for his vessel of honor - a royal priesthood to the glory of his Name through Jló-
