Henrik Nordbrandtis a Danish poet, novelist and essayist. He made his literary debut in 1966 with the poetry collectionDigte. He was awarded the Nordic Council's Literature Prize in 2000 for the poetry collection Drømmebroer("Dream Bridges"). Although he is Danish by nationality, he has spent much of his life in the Mediterranean, which largely influences his writing.
Alexander Taylor has translated numerous Danish writers, including Benny Andersen, Klaus Rifbjerg, and Ole Sarvig.
