She's Still My Mimzie [Paperback]

Lily goes with her parents to visit Mimzie, her great grandmother who has Alzheimer's disease. During the visit, Lily is reminded that Mimzie is a woman with many talents and accomplishments and that she loves to receive hugs and compliments. This book was written primarily with the following goals in mind: to show children that no one can catch Alzheimer's disease by hugging someone who has it, to remind children as well as others to never forget about an Alzheimer's patient's past contributions to society, and to give children a general understanding of Alzheimer's disease. Discussion questions and two coloring pages are included in the back of the book.
