Contents: Introduction; Terminology; Case studies (Pom??z and the Cyko, Kisn??na and the Kompolti, Ny??rb??tor and the B??thori); Interpreting the noble residence; Conclusion.Subtitled Hungarian noble residences and their social context from the thirteenth through to the sixteenth century: an outline for methodology .
