Teatro! Hispanic Plays For Young People [Paperback]

Based on folktales, animal fables, cultural holiday celebrations, and historical figures and events, these 14 scripts allow actors and audience members to directly experience the cultural heritage and wisdom as represented in engaging dramatic events. The reproducible scripts can be used in classrooms, for school assemblies, or for special events. Perfect for social studies, literature, drama, and multicultural units in schools, the scripts will also appeal to community youth programs and summer arts and drama camps. Short, simple, and easy to produce, these plays are appropriate for students in elementary grades through junior high.ANGEL VIGIL is Chairman of the Fine and Performing Arts Department, Colorado Academy, Denver, Colorado, and an award-winning educator, author, and storyteller.
