The Turned Field, A Story Of Life, Death, War And Forgotten Love [Paperback]

Air Force top gun Kyle Kendrick, a leader in the initial air strike of the Gulf War, returns to England and is assigned duty as the first American/NATO liaison at RAF Coltishall. After departing a RAF Winter Ball, Kyle is involved in a seemingly unsurvivable car accident. Like black ice seeping into the cobblestones of the English streets that December night, his world disintegrates. At Norfolk-Norwich hospital, a ''male unknown'' arrives in a body bag. Days later, Kyle awakens in terror. In the critical care unit, Kyle begins his hour-by-hour struggle to live. Unable to speak, this fiercely independent admired officer cannot communicate to others the hellish solitude he feels in his decimated body and altered mind. And sadly, he does not even remember the love of his life, Jamie Morris. Now he must win his battle with amnesia by retrieving the shards of his life, including his adrenalin-charged combat missions and his wildly humorous experiences with his fellow pilots.
