Jonathan Harrisis Professor of Art History at the University of Liverpool. He is author of Writing Back to Modern Art: After Greenberg, Fried, and Clark(Routledge, 2005) and The New Art History: A Critical Introduction(Routledge, 2001). Jonathan Harris also wrote introductions to the four volumes of Arnold Hausers 1951 classic The Social History of Art, republished by Routledge in 1999.
