Marcia L. Rosal, PhD, ATR-BC, HLM is a Past-Chair of the Art Education Department and Past Director of the Art Therapy Program at Florida State University. She received a masters degree in art therapy from the University of Louisville, and a doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Queensland. In 1999, she joined the faculty at Florida State University as a Professor in the Art Therapy Program after teaching for 14 years at the University of Louisville where she received the 1998 University Distinguished Teaching Award. She has been a practicing art therapist for 40 years, received her ATR in 1979, and was board certified in 1995. She specialized in teaching art therapy research, group art therapy, and art therapy with children. She has published numerous articles and chapters in edited texts and has recently co-edited The Wiley HlÓÆ
