He was the philosophy of religion area editor of theEncyclopedia of Philosophy, second edition, and is on the editorial board ofReligious Studies,Sophia,Blackwell's Philosophy Compass,American Philosophical Quarterly, andArs Disputandi.

Elsa J. Martyis a doctoral student at the University of Chicago Divinity School, USA, with a focus on theological anthropology and religion in India. She is the co-editor of the first edition ofA Dictionary of Philosophy of Religion.
