Volume 4 of the Encyclopedia of the Alkaloids covers the literature to the end of 1981 and includes those compounds which have been discovered since Volume 3 was published in 1977. There is also a small number of entries giving recently determined structure or addi? tional information regarding alkaloids given in the preceding three volumes.
