This book showcases a large variety of multiple criteria decision applications (MCDAs), presenting them in a coherent framework provided by the methodology chapters and the comments accompanying each case study. The chapters describing MCDAs invite the reader to experiment with MCDA methods and perhaps develop new variants using data from these case studies or other cases they encounter, equipping them with a broader perception of real-world problems and how to overcome them with the help of MCDAs.
Part I: Theoretical Background.- Part II: Case Studies of MCDA applications.- Part III: MCDA process support Tools.
The joint effort of editors and authors of thisbook resulted in a unique work in the field of multiple criteria decisionapplications (MCDAs). & It can serve as a very reliable guide to decisionmakers in real life. & an outstanding book on evaluation and decision modelswith multiple criteria indispensable for problem solvers in business, industry, and government. Obligatory for academics, professional researchersand graduate students. (Manuel Alberto M. Ferreira, Acta Scientiae etIntellectus, Vol. 1 (4), 2015)
