Volume 1 contains fragments of the works of Nicolaus Damascenus (born c.64 BCE, who wrote a history of the world in 144 volumes, scientific works, and biographies of his personal friend Herod the Great and Augustus), Dexippus, Priscus, Eustathius of Epiphania, and Olympiodorus of Thebes, among others.Praefatio; Collatio codicum monacensium; Nicolaus Damascenus; Pausanias Damascenus; Dexippus; Eusebius; Eunapius; Priscus; Eustathius Epiphaniensis; Nestorianus; Magnus et Eutychianus; Ioannes Epiphaniensis; Malchus; Petrus; Praxagoras; læ
