After 41 years of working at?successful careers, none of which I was qualified for, I retired.

????????????????My most notable career was working for the multinational toy manufacturer,?Mattel?in Hong Kong, China, leading?teams in Asia that developed the fabrics and fashions for dolls,?mainly?Barbie. Yes...I dressed the most famous girl in the world! The pink-glittered, blue-eyed, blonde American icon who?claimed nearly two hundred careers to inspire girls.

???????????????After relocating back the USA, I was often asked what kind of a background I had to work in Hong Kong and develop fashions for Barbie? The answer was complicated and I jokingly replied, Read the book! ?It always got a laugh, but after a couple of years giving the same response?I realized that I had a story to tell that could help those struggling?in a career or without a dream.
