Annmarie Allen was born in Jamaica and came to America when she was 13 years old. She has been an active member of Bible Way Temple Nation in Hartford, CT for over 17 years and has served on the Missionary Board for over 15 years. She has a gift for helping others and God has used her in this capacity even as a child. God and family are very important to her. Both have played a very important role in her life and her parents are her role models. As she grew up, Annmarie joined the Marine Corps at 16 years old through the Delay Entry program in High School, left for Bootcamp following graduation and spent 4 years active duty in the Marines. Later, she joined the Navy Reserves and has served 8 years. Annmarie is a Desert Storm and Iraq War Veteran. In addition, she has been a Social Worker for over 18 years and has spent her life caring for people from different socioeconomic backgrounds. She holds a BA degree in Social Work, MA degree in Human Services/Marriage & Family Therapy and in the process of completing a MA degree in Elementary Education
