He has no memory of his birthplace in Council Bluffs, Iowa because not long after he was born the military began to move his naval aviator father and family all around different airbases in the US and Pacific. He loved traveling and was never sad when they would move. He knew there would be challenges, but he would meet new friends and have so many new adventures. He would attend five elementary schools, three junior high schools and three high schools. Start one college until the draft came calling, serve four years in the US Navy then attend three more colleges after that.
